Above 250 km of marked hiking paths lead you through a unique area with majestic mountains, blooming Alpine meadows, fragrant forests, torrential streams and clear mountain lakes. With a little bit of luck, you will see some chamois and ibex making their daredevil leaps across the steep rock faces or whistling marmots at the side of the trail. Contented cows graze peacefully on lush pastures and charming old mountain chalets invite you to take a rest with some home-made products. The well-conceived access to the area, with cable-cars, chairlifts and the hiker's bus leaves nothing to be desired. You can get to the starting points easily and get back home from many places without a car.
Please note that the appropriate equipement and above all proper shoes are required on all hiking routes; and don't forget the rain shelter and sunscreen. For all high alpine routes you should be in a good health as the walk can get very arduous.
