Beaver Creek in Colorado is one of the most luxurious and best winter sports locations in the USA. The town is in a few kilometres from Vail and is a "private resort". In addition to many first-class hotels and residences owned by famous personalities, Beaver Creek has its own concert hall (Villar Center for the Arts), an all-year skating rink right in the town-center, an excellently developped skiing area with ski school and also several golf courses which are considered to be amongst the best in America.
Beaver Creek has also made a name for itself with its hosting of the men's World Cup race ”Birds of Prey“. In the same way as in Lech there is also a summer season, when sports such as mountain biking, walking, horsebackriding, golf and family activities play the leading role. Since December 2001 Beaver Creek has been officially twinned with Lech.
